ABOUT ABOUT

Brothels, Bootleggers and Booze
The Brothels, Bootleggers and Booze Tour begins at Arnold’s, Cincinnati’s oldest continuously operating saloon. Built in 1838 as a brothel, 210 E. 8th became Simon Arnold’s Saloon in 1861 and has been serving libations to Cincinnatians ever since. Guests get the inside scoop on Arnold’s, then walk a route that explores the days when Cincinnati’s 2,000+ saloons made it notorious for inebriation and mayhem. Tour topics include Prohibition, brewing, and the Courthouse Riot of 1884. Guests also travel into the subterranean cellars of the Schaller-Gerke Brewery complex.

When: 1:30PM every Saturday from May 5 through Oct. 27.
Where: Tours start at Arnold’s, 210 E. 8 th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
